I had way too much fun shouting the preacher around and even more fun throwing around the 10 or more(I lost count) soldiers at the end of the vid here. I had never seen them gather so densely before. Hi everyone, Wanted to put together a quick video of the Fus Ro Dah shout in Skyrim. For the most part, you get the same reaction and flight pattern from NPCs unless you hit them from a unique angle or when they're mid attack. But still, very satisfying either way you slice it. I increased the movement speed of my character so I could keep up with the waves progression and get a better look at whats going on. I had no idea it stretched for as far as it did. If you look at some of the movable items in the surrounding area, you'll notice that they are rendered significantly slower than the characters. At normal speed, you really cant even notice. Im sure its due to the devs trying to optimize performance. If you take into account the number of loose items that could be in a room, on a table, or laying around the ground, it would be chaotic if they tried to render on the same lev An excellent staple of a great game that looks just as amazing in slow motion.

Slowmo Quickie - Battlefield 4 - Knife Kills

Hi everyone, The "Quickie" vids I'll be working on will be a one minute or less type of showcase of one feature in a game. I just put this one together today for a series of knife kills in Mission 6 of BF4 as it gave me a nice set of options straight off the start of the map. Personally, I found it pretty funny how some AI seemed to actually emote some type of reaction to being stabbed, where others simply couldnt be bothered to react at all. Slow mo games - Ep.12 - Bioshock Infinite

Hi everyone, Wanted to take a break from BF4 vids for a few to put a few more games in the mix and see what comes out. I did a quick run through Bioshock Infinite today and found plenty to look at and enjoy. Even at 500fps its transitions and animations happen quickly. The first time I played through the story, it looked like a beautifully rendered environment. But things happened so fast that I really couldnt stop and look at what went into it. Ill try to do more of the weapons in a Quickie but youll notice that the open bolt Carbine fully cycles with a beautifully smooth animation. The melee attacks are far more gruesome at this speed. Much more blood than I seemed to recall before. I inadvertently shot down an RPG while on the rails. Didnt even know that was possible. I saw a few RPGs flying through the air. They have an interesting design with the typical body of an RPG but with a large x wing on the back. I was very surprised at the headshot animations. They were much more detailed than I had originally gave them credit for. Typically I made the shot and moved on to the next target so I assumed they just vaporized into blood spray, but there are a few chunks in the mix and the helmet goes tumbling as the body spurts and sprays from the neck. Quite a nice rendering for a non zombie. As always, I hope to bring you guys a bit more in the future. Just wanted to show you a sample of what the game may offer. Slowmo Quickie - Battlefield 4 - C4

Hi everyone, Back into BF4 for a minute to play with C4 on the Tashgar map. It has a nice mix of buildings, armor, ground units, and gadgets to give me a wide selection of destructive means. I mixed up the amount of C4 that I used on a few buildings. Usually between 1 and 5. Oddly, the damage capped out around 2 or 3 depending on the size of the building. The big thing with C4 is the coverage and WHERE its used. Two well placed bricks can do a lot of damage. But, in the online environment, more is always better insurance that you're going to get a solid kill. Also note how the roof and stairs of certain buildings seem to ignore the effects of the blast, regardless of how much C4 is used. Im I KNOW there are buildings that are easy to take down. Ive accidentally done it. But these models seem to remain standing regardless of the damage done. Still though, lots of fun to blow walls out of a structure.

Hi everyone, Today Im going to take you through a quick weapons showcase with Farcry 3 and the Dunia Engine 2 with the Havok physics engine. Ive talked to quite a few about Farcry and they all seem to be under the impression that 2 and 3 are still using the CryEngine but its actually using the Dunia Engine 2 which was developed at Crytek by an employee. Its equally as impressive as the CryEngine and has a ton of features that make the world stand out. But this vid is straight forward. Just going through the weapons and having fun.

Hi everyone, I have to say that Ive been playing Battlefield since 1942 and I never would have imagined the game would look this amazing. Dice and EA have produced an amazing experience. Its almost a shame that the game doesnt have bullet time options built in because this level of destruction would make Michael Bay drool. Im going to attempt to keep everything spoiler free and focus on actual gameplay while avoiding the scripted and rendered scenes. These videos are meant to showcase the work the developers put into the details. Hope you all enjoy this first look!

Hi everyone, Today I wanted to give you a slower look into Sniper Elite v2. Sniper Elite v2 already features a great bullet time effect and damage model. I wanted to take it few steps slower and let you see whats going on. Lots of nice things going on, hope you enjoy! Hoping to capture some more later. These are not recorded at normal speed and slowed down. The game itself is slowed and then recorded to reveal details you may not catch at normal speed. Typical speed during gameplay is around 10-25% of normal. Which would roughly equate to around 480fps. This is not to showcase the gameplay itself, but the details and work that the developers are putting into the game. Like the way the damage model is rendered when attacked by various weapons, the way grenades are layered and rendered at different points, or even the operation of the weapons themselves. In future episodes, I hope to capture with the audio intact somehow, but for now I will have to go with a soundtrack to fill the silence. Please forgive me as I am very new to this. Hi everyone, Fire and Ice is the theme of the video today. Looking at the differences between the Fire and Frost shout and the Ice Spike and Fireball. From what I can tell so far, it looks like the attack shouts have the same structure, distance, and speed. The only difference is the element attribute and visuals. Nice either way. The Ice Spike and similar ice attacks do a great job of holding their point of impact true to your aimpoint. There were only a few instances where it seemed to clip to another angle of impact. The Fireball attacks do just what you would expect in slow mo. Lots of fire and flames with a subtle pressure wave. Big bright booms.

Hi everyone, Taking a break from the normal showcase to take a look at some of the things that go wrong. Not to imply that the quality of the game is any less due to these glitches. They happen due to all kinds of variables and the devs cant always account for every single one. So I went through Saints Row: The Third and was able to reproduce one pretty regularly. Lets just call it the Lt. Dan Glitch. Ive run across several more during my sessions but this one kept popping us so I decided to showcase it first. Hope you guys enjoy.

Hi everyone, Going through Mission 6 today. To be honest, not my favorite mission, but still very good. Great to see old familiar faces too. One old familiar element that made a comeback in excess were the big red barrels the idiot AI insists on standing near or taking cover against. I aint even mad. Its a beautiful set of explosions that it sets off. But at this point I think its a running joke among games. In this video you'll see the M416, PKP, Claymore, M98B, and a few others. I ran a few scenes a bit slower so you can see the rounds flying through the air. The slugs from the shotgun are particularly fun to watch creep across the screen. Hope you guys enjoy! Slow Mo Games - Ep.11 - Battlefield 4 - Suez (Mission 7) Highlights

Hi everyone, Here is the final mission from the BF4 campaign. Not a particularly long mission, but just as fun. Not a whole lot to say really. I enjoyed the campaign and felt it lived up to my expectations. The BF series isnt know for its single player mode so I didnt have the bar set very high. Not to imply that the campaign is lacking in any particular point. The voice actors did well, the new Frostbite 3 engine was put to good use, and I felt that there were some very blockbuster type moments. I didnt go in expecting a huge sweeping story like some of the other larger games. So Im quite satisfied. Hope you guys enjoyed the highlights! Ill be revisiting BF4 in the future to compare against other games and even its older brothers. Hi everyone, Late to the game this morning due to a few rendering issues. Got it squared away in time though. Today I have another set of clips from SR3 that I didnt want to put in the last since it was a specific glitch. Also...this is what I put up with in Skyrim. Not all engines handle the slowdown as well as others. Which is why we see my character prancing around as he does. It also has a strange effect on NPCs in the distance. Hi everyone, There was a lot going on in this mission. I had about 40min of footage I had too trim down to the 3min mark here. I really liked the touches on the muzzle blast from the flash suppressor on the SCAR at the 30 second mark. Its actually a spot on representation. Also note the pressure wave from the muzzle of the Type 88 LMG. Its has such a wide heavy spread at full auto that it makes for really dramatic looking enemy take downs. I half expected the target to drop to his knees with his arms out like in Platoon. And watch how the wind direction in the game actually dictates the direction of the debris from the blast. Hi everyone, Almost through the Battlefield series at this point. Had a lot of fun in this mission. Plenty of stuff to blow up and lots of options on how to do it. One thing that I dont think shows in this video is that the Mobile AA changes its spread according to your view. First person, it zeroes pretty well on your crosshairs. In 3rd person, I guess it renders the cannons differently and shows both firing and the spread is pretty obvious. Ill try to throw up another video later. Im still waiting for a good opportunity to take some long distance sniper rifle shots. Something greater than 150m. The ones in this video are right at 100m so its not much of a stretch. Hi everyone, Today I wanted to do another L4D2 video since there is a lot of great content in the game. I also wanted to try the new gamma settings to see if it would improve things at all. Its all about the chainsaw and shotgun today. Interesting points Many of the infected tend to transition into a bundle of parts upon contact with the chainsaw. Only a few retain the original damage model. I noted several that seemed to have been severed at the stomach. Overall, a great way to cause a lot of damage. The shotgun has a wide range of damage it can cause. Holes through the head, removing the head, severing limbs, disembowelment, and more. The developers did a great job rendering accurate damage to the models. And its rare that I see any damage outside the intended target area.
