I just found your channel somehow and I made something similar for my modded main character. Except I'm a Female redguard " *Battlemage* " who wears exclusively light armor or sometimes nothing 😜(gotta love adult mods) but anyways; she's uses flames in the left hand mostly (sometimes fireball when going up against multiple enemies.) and a silver sword from the silver hands ppl with an flame enchantment on it and rarely a crossbow with a fire enchantment of course(for the dragons that don't want to land or if my Archer is taking to long). Using nothing but the " *Fire Breath* " shout. And of course either 2 modded companions or 1 modded and 1 vanilla followers. (1 being an Archer and the other being shield and sword or 2 handed great sword.)
The reason Battlemage is in bold is because most people do the initial and most damage with their weapon then finish the enemy with their magic. That's a spell sword and not battlemage. Battlemage does the opposite. Also most Battlemage's wears heavy armor, so I wanted to be different. 😇😁 (again gotta love adult mods, skimpy mods or mods in general)
I like this builds look at and theme. The heavy chitin armor is surprisingly a really awesome look for a pyromancer. I adjusted it slightly though and tooled it after a bread and butter Battlemage Morrowind style to match the theme.
4 mods I recommend for this build is improved closed face helmets so you can see the character’s eyes, Elemental Eyes to give him flaming eyes to match the theme, Warmonger so you can wear Azhidal on your hip and allow access to the matching set perk, and toggle able helmets cause it’s kind of immersion breaking walking around with a helmet on 24/7.
Also a alchemy recommendation is to add wheat to your potion recipes specifically the Fortify Destruction. It will give you more xp increase and will give your potions the fortify health affect making you tankier.
I love this build. But I think I would go Dwemer armour to play as a "Forgemaster" themed fire lord. With the bonuses you get from some quests you get bonuses with the dwarven gear and one special dungeon will give you a steam-breath helm, as a backup alternative to your fire shouts.
+BADCompanySarge Yeah, but you still can have 1 gear that doesn't have Destruction reduction, and also I'd feel that he'd want to use the daedric weapon Daybreaker and use a fire bolt crossbow. Maybe a Fire+Chaos Dagger to get a ton of fire based weaponry.
BADCompanySarge , no no no i loved it! Currently making this build! But if you want feedback I can oblige....I would have to suggest to......shit....its too perfect...cant even find anything to add or fix.....welp...thats what i get for trying to make your builds better XD IT CANT GET ANY BETTER!!! *cries tears of joy*
you play the build on legendary without godmode, the music is unique, your knowledge of hidden perks is outstanding and your storytelling is fantastic, all of which is amazing! Fudgemuppet has much to learn from you, im sad i didnt discover you earlier. you have my sub, keep up the good work!
BADCompanySarge yeah it’s pretty cool. And I was watching your hold builds and did you ever think about doing a raven rock hold build? I thought that idea was pretty cool and I’m trying to figure out a good way to do that
God Smash If you disenchant any item with the Fortify Destruction effect then you'll be able to reduce the cost of Destruction spells. If you're talking about a boost in damage though then that would be through Ahzidals mask and Alchemy.
Water, Earth, Fire, Air... The four nations lived with peace and Harmony, but everything changed when the fire action attacked... Only the avatar master of all four elements could stop them, but when we needed him most he vanished... One hundred yeas later me and my brother found the new avatar, an airbender named Ang, although his airbending is great he has lot to lean before he can save anyone. But I Believe Ang can save the world.
Love ur vid bro keep it up, just saying u should make an avatar build
BADCompanySarge enemies don't get a chance to sneak up on me especially my battlemage using fireball in one hand and a Nordic axe in the other. with this guy though i'll use fire runes as well as fireballs and flame atronachs
BADCompanySarge i've got a vampire spellsword that uses flame cloak which is ironic becase vampires are weak to fire but i find it cool looking and she uses alteration magic to get the atronach perk as well as using the atronach stone so she is practically a conduct for magic
Big Ryan I'm planning on making an Ice based build at some point but I'm not certain if I should go for Nord as it will depend on how high I can get Frost resistance with the character as standard. Likely I will end up with a Nord regardless though.
I FUCKING HATE IT WHEN ALL I WANNA WATCH IS CHOICE OF ARMOR ,PASSIVES,SPELL SELECTIONS AND ENCHANTMENTS FOR A CERTAIN BUILD AND A RANDOM GUY JUST RAMBLES ON ABOUT BACK STORY OF ""pYROMANCER""..JUST CUT THE DRAMA PLZ
DoggieToys I know and that's why I'm going to keep making them the focus of my builds. I do understand his desire to skip the backstory though (I often did when I used to watch builds) so I figured that if I informed him of the time stamps of the videos he may at least get some enjoyment from the video.
TrIAL TaKeR If you're looking for builds that are just equipment and perk choices then check out Major Slack. He does Legendary difficulty builds but doesn't have backstories in his. My builds are more about combining role playing with strong load outs, so there's always going to be a bit of a mix for these specific builds.
If for whatever reason you decide to watch any of my other videos then just head straight to the description and use the time stamps and information I provide there.
whatever...u try too hard to make sth interesting which already is.....for what i think is more helpful if u and other ""build makers''' could just show us the perks items etc indispensable for a character...e.g azhidal mask gives u +25% more fire spell damage; now thats something i would like to hear...per say azhidall ring gives u spell ignite now thats sth...u can have falmar helmet worn along with azhidal mask giving u five enchantments together now thats sth a pyromancer would need..what is the need of selfmade back story ahahha i am sorry if it affects ur subscriber's demands... and i turn ON MY CAPS LOCK WHEN I REALLY HATE STH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TrIAL TaKeR Not sure if this is a troll comment or if your caps lock is just broken. If you want to skip the backstory then there are time stamps in the description. Most of my builds do rely heavily on their own individual characters as that's what most of my subscribers seem most fond of.
Kaotic_Sins I did actually fight against a fire atronach while testing, you basically just need to focus on using your attacks to stagger them and then let Teldryn deal the damage. Thanks to the high fire resistance you actually are quite well suited to fighting them.
Balthazar21 I do indeed, that's why I'm always happy to see lots of comments on my videos, even if they're completely irrelevant they still help. Also soothes the harshness of any dislikes as I know they also help the video out.
Park Geryeol I checked at the time and it did add damage to the Incinerate spell when I added the perk. I'm on pc and completely unmodded. I'll do a bit of testing once I'm back home but from what I found online there was a lot of debate over it. My guess is that it may well still increase the damage of certain spells or may only work in combination with the fire perk that causes low health enemies to flee (can't remember the name of it)
If you look on the skyrim wiki on illusion under perks, it says that the aspect of terror was patched on 1.2 and when I apply a perk point onto aspect of terror my damage stays at 4 damage. I play on ps4 and for the most part only use graphical mods. I might be wrong though since I can't seem to find any other website mentioning that it got patched but I also don't notice difference when I buy the perk T-T
elderscrolls.wikia.com - Illusion (Skyrim)
For those of you who don't know, Augmented Flames + Aspect of Terror + Azhidal's mask + Dual casting = around 600 points of damage that stacks.
Something else of note: If you have the Unofficial Patch, the Aspect of Terror fire boost will *NOT* work.
I'm confused, you said he was in cyrodil correct? then you said he started to travel north to go to morrowind and claim his throne? I'm confused. if he was in cyrodil wouldn't he travel south instead of north to skyrim? Or am I just confusing the map up? I'm NOT trying to be disrespectful or mean. I'm just genuinely confused. great video man keep it up!
Jake Hamburdoodle Cryodiil is South of Skyrim and West of Morrowind. Depending on where he is in Cryodiil it would effect his path slightly but if he's in the North West of Cryodiil and heading to the North East of Morrowind then he could take a path North through to Skyrim before heading East towards Morrowind.
I mention it as only being useful for purposes of role-playing in the powers section I believe. On Legendary it really doesn't do enough to be of use as a power but it's still nice for the look and feel of the build occasionally.
Jesse A That's fair enough, on Legendary this was the only fire based destruction strategy that seemed to work well. My next Skyrim build is a much more varied one though so hopefully that will be more to your liking
jacob hudson I do mention using Fireball against groups of enemies. Due to the fact that we wear Ahzidals mask and ring we have limited cost reduction. Ignite works a lot better in one on one fights and costs a lot less overall
BadCompanySarge could you make a build that uses the Ebony Blade, was trapped in Obilvion then got out and is master swordsman that protects the people and is kind and noble and seeks to prove himself as a warrior
Hell yeah, turns out Amazon Video has Inglorious Basterds and The Hateful Eight. It's going to be difficult to force myself to go to bed after this one if it turns out there's another Tarintino gem awaiting me then I may have to go for the insomnia option.
I tested out fire cloak but it didn't strengthen the build very much and mostly just drained a bit of magicka at the start of combat. If playing on lower difficulties or just for role-playing then feel free to go with the fire cloak though, I did mention in the powers bit with reference to the Dunmer racial ability which is essentially a weaker version of the fire cloak spell.
Glad you liked the build and even better to hear positive feedback on the backstory.
Apcat it is great fun to explore around and get lost up in the world, especially on the first play through. Probably best to not start on Legendary difficulty but if you do get a play through done then let me know how it went.
I like the build and the video! But please stop saying impact is essential, because it is not. It is way too over powered and makes the game borring as it just becomes spell spamming. I play on legendary as a mage all the time and never use impact or 100% reduction cuz it takes all the fun away.
MrMajo Gaming True, no perk is essential for any build but that one really helps anyone to be able to play this build. I want these builds to allow people who have never played on Legendary to be able to. Plus it's the internet so a little hyperbole is necessary to get a point across
BADCompanySarge yeah i understand that, and destruction is very weak at high level. But impact makes destruction very borring in my opinion. For this build it may be hard not to use it, but in the video you said it was essential for any destruction mage, and that is definetly not true xD
MrMajo Gaming As this character was a Destruction Mage I figure I kind of had to use the Destruction skill, it's not actually a skill I'm a huge fan of (Illusion/Alteration all the way) but I wanted to show people that you can play as a powerful destruction Mage on Legendary without having to max everything out.
BADCompanySarge The best thing on legendary is conjuration as they get the 4x hp just like the enemies, also illusion and alteration (paralysis) help with some cc, dragons are easy cuz of wards. Everything else is just way too many hours in skyrim so i have an easy time on legendary xD
I mention in the gear bit about also needing to have at least one good non fire based spell (pretty sure I recommended Lightning Bolt) but I did go up against various fire immune enemies and deal with them through stagger locking and letting my follower deal the brunt of the damage with me just keeping them permanently in place.
Actually BADCompanySarge is correct. Chitin is pronounced 'ki-tin' (long i in ki as in ice, short i in tin as in tin).
Source: Teldryn Sero's dialogue in the Dragonborn DLC: "You like my chitin armor? It was specially crafted for me by Grendis Rolovo... one of the finest master armorsmiths in Morrowind."
Teldryn is also my favorite follower. On my current character, he's been my companion for 400+ in-game hours. :)
MortalMonster10 That is exceedingly difficult to say. The Dragon Hunter is probably the best in terms of single shot damage. This build is the best for one on one fights and the Dark Knight would be the best at staying alive.
